Overview
Lakis is desperately in love with Lilika. However, her mother, Mrs. Erasmia, does not even want to look at him because he is a poor student. Mrs. Erasmia is a harsh woman, an "iron lady" who runs a boarding house. As a result, Lakis, in his despair, attempts suicide. But his mother remains unmoved, and as for Lilika, she is a weak-willed, beautiful creature who does whatever her mother tells her to do. Finally, after much ado, a mysterious bag of African diamonds solves the lovers' problem and Mom's greed...
