Ricky Umberger is an American filmmaker, writer, producer, and actor best known for creating The Fear Footage franchise, a cult favorite series that helped redefine independent found footage horror. Through films such as The Fear Footage (2018), The Fear Footage 2: Curse of the Tape (2020), and The Fear Footage 3AM (2021), he earned a reputation for delivering highly effective scares and immersive low-budget horror storytelling.
