Karisma Kapoor (born June 25, 1974) is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Hindi cinema. Born into the Kapoor film family, she made her acting debut with the romantic drama *Prem Qaidi* (1991). Her early screen credits included *Jigar* (1992), *Anari* (1993), *Raja Babu* (1994), *Andaz Apna Apna* (1994), *Coolie No. 1* (1995), and *Jeet* (1996).
In 1996, Kapoor starred in the romance *Raja Hindustani*, winning the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She subsequently won the National Film Award and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for the musical romance *Dil To Pagal Hai* (1997). During this period, her commercial releases included *Hero No. 1* (1997), *Biwi No.1* (1999), and the family drama *Hum Saath-Saath Hain* (1999). She later played titular dramatic roles in *Fiza* (2000), earning a second Filmfare Award for Best Actress, and *Zubeidaa* (2001), which won her the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
After appearing in the television series *Karishma: The Miracles of Destiny* (2003) and the supernatural thriller *Dangerous Ishhq* (2012), Kapoor moved to digital streaming platforms. She starred in the drama series *Mentalhood* (2020) and the mystery thriller *Murder Mubarak* (2024), followed by the unscripted series *Dining with the Kapoors* (2025).
