Overview
Kavita (2000–2001) is a Balaji Telefilms drama that revolves around a young, resilient middle-class woman named Kavita (played by Smriti Irani). The central conflict ignites when Kavita witnesses her best friend being brutally raped inside her sister-in-law's house. Defying her powerful, influential in-laws who try to hush up the crime to preserve their social status, Kavita risks her own marriage and safety to spread awareness, stand firmly by her friend, and fight a fierce battle for justice.
